the thing is you're looking at it from a different cultural context. they are also made for a different audience. for example, western film reviews sometimes complain that a film is too long if it goes significantly beyond 2 hours. in india, films are on average 3 hours. 3 hours is the standard length. if a movie doesn't have a stack of songs in it, it isn't engaging enough for indians. indians might complain that western films are too boring because of the lack of musical interludes

It would be better if these people learn things the right way. To them, rock is just another hindi song with just a bit more louder, nothing signifying rock. It pisses me off to see these people being immature and childish. There is only a few movies that do make sense. Furthermore, if they can't make good movies, why not invest it in something else?
