Not true! The only way you can use "Ni de" is to say "Ni de mingzi jiao shenme?" Jiao means "to call". Therefore, the literal translation of "Ni jiao shenme mingzi?" is "You are called what name?"

Inconsistent with your word choice - you teach nin hao ma but only xie xie instead of xie xie nin. Nin is very formal..other flaws in this too, but there are a lot better guides on youtube - this is not one you'd bother with.
