I remember watching this as a kid when it happened. Good stuff. This and the first "Millionaire" winner who used his lifeline to call home just to say he won are my favorite two game show moments. Larson was very good and smart. Shame he died 15 yrs later though (according to Wikipedia.)

Well, the Big Bucks documentary said he got involved in some sort of radio scam and withdrew all the money. Then he and his wife left for a Christmas party, and while they were gone, most of the money was gone by the time they came back. He blamed his wife, and got kicked out of the house.
