Tim Armstrongs always sung like that. Not everyones singing voice is the same as their talking voice... At least, mine isnt. And I dont think Tims the sort of guy that 'thinks' he's cool...And in case anyone was confused, they wrote this song, and then 'Garnier/Fructis' approached them to use an instrumental version in their ads.

Okay, I love this song and this band.... but why the hell does the lead singer speak and sing like he's got some kind of weird accent. He's American, you can't pretend to have accents or speak differently in different situations because it sounds cool. At least I don't. It's just always bugged me. Good song though.

ionredlineguy, because of the commercial, I looked up this song. Yeah, the commercial is cheezy, but it gave and still gives this group a lot of publicity they probably wouldn't have ever gotten.

in this scenario you're right, but for 99% of artists, they don't own their music. it sucks
scarfacexx1 (January 1, 1970 at 12:59 am)
yeh but tim owns the label so tim sold them then

probably the easiest 40 g's of there lifei'd do it
ionredlineguy (January 1, 1970 at 12:59 am)
Actually the band doesn't own the rights to the music, the record label does. So the label sold the rights.
